Lighthouse Park Update

I met with West Vancouver Parks recently regarding the new bolts placed on the wall in Arbutus Alley. 3 sets of bolt anchors were placed along the top of the wall, as well, a line was scrubbed clean and bolted for leading. WV Parks want to remove the bolts from that wall entirely. There was discussion on whether one bolt anchor should remain for top-roping to save wear on the arbutus tree, but Parks still favoured it's removal. At present all the anchor bolts have been smashed and are not usable. It is unclear who did the damage. Parks does not want any new scrubbing or new bolts in the Park. We would like to hear from climbers that still climb at the Arbutus Alley wall and get their thoughts on the situation. Please send an email to info@access-society.ca.
