Regions - Kootenays/Bugaboos - Cougar Creek (Nelson)
Trail upgrading took place in autumn 2003, two days of work by students from the Fish, Wildlife and Recreation program at Selkirk College. The students evaluated necessary work on the trail, and completed much of what was needed. The trail winds past a boulder field, where boulders such as King Kong Boulder reach heights of 25-30m. Also, the last section of road leading to the trail has been brushed out so that vehicles can more easily turn around and park right at the trailhead. The guide to this area is at www.cavecreeksystems.com/cougarcreek.
