Silver Spray cabin, on the east side of this park, is closed in winter due to avalanche hazard. Slocan Chief cabin (built 1900) is now closed to public use, but a new, larger cabin has been built nearby, in memory of Michel Trudeau. Reservations for Kokanee Glacier cabins and campgrounds are handled through the Alpine Club of Canada at (403) 678-3200, or www.alpineclubofcanada.ca . The Silver Spray and Woodbury trails remain closed until further notice, due to standing dead trees after fires in 2003. B.C. Parks has applied for funding to remove danger trees, rebuild bridges, and clean up these trails.
