PEMBERTON WORLD MOUNTAIN SPORTS FESTIVAL
I wish to invite all climbing enthusiasts to Pemberton for our festival. www.pembertongames.com or the birth of the PEMBERTON WORLD MOUNTAIN SPORTS FESTIVAL . By uniting several sports under one umbrella we will appear stronger in the face of media and potential sponsors and not seen as only a “ fringe “ group or sport . Pemberton is full of nearby and exciting climbing possibilities. These range from arid desert of Lillooret and nearby Marble Canyon or the granite cliffs of Soo valley towards Whistler . There are also various excellent bouldering opportunities nearby . I am asking to see if there are any persons interested in helping to co-ordinate a climbing outing out of Pemberton during our fest. My aim is to have various sports groups doing activities during the day , then gathering in the evenings for films, presentations, bonfires, dj, etc. Just look at the ski/snowboard model www.wssf.com . Other confirmed activities include paragliding, mountainbiking , kite skiing, ski mountaineering, BASE , Sky Diving . Please get in touch and help us represent climbing at our fest .
